Red Onion

Kirk's mom, Ruth made this beautiful quilt for us last winter. We knew right where to hang it, the only problem was, we couldn't get to it.

So finally today we got it up! We had to gerry rig a scaffolding which Kirk just about broke his neck on but we got it up there. .
It looks gorgeous in our entry way and will be there to welcome everyone that walks through the door. Ruth has made so many incredible thing for us, from boxers and socks to sweaters and outfits for the kids. She is truly an artist, in every right!
I only wish I were half as talented as she is.
She has recently given Gentry one of her sewing machines and has been teaching her how to sew.
Gentry would like to be a fashion designer some day so fortunately she has a Grandma that can help her along the way.

The name of the pattern is "Red Onion". Ruth was thoughtful enough to use all the colors of our house so that we could display is where ever we choose. It warms up the entry in a very "one of a kind" way.

Our thanks to you Ruth for all the time and energy you put into this work of art.
